Overview
- Gelsenkirchen collections run January 7–14, starting in Scholven, Hassel and Resse and concluding January 14 in Ückendorf, Rotthausen, Neustadt and Altstadt.
- Düsseldorf’s Awista begins January 8 in central districts and completes the final rounds January 19 in southern neighborhoods, with routes set by district each day.
- Trees must be set out visibly at the roadside without blocking traffic or pedestrians, and any tree over two meters must be cut into sections not exceeding that length.
- Gelsenkirchen offers free drop‑off at Wertstoffhöfe in Erle (Adenauerallee 115) and Ückendorf (Wickingstraße 25b), up to one cubic meter of green waste.
- Düsseldorf residents can use Recyclinghöfe at Flinger Broich 15, Frankfurter Straße 253 and Niederrheinstraße 229, plus the Hamm composting site (Auf dem Draap 40) during posted hours.
