Overview

  • On July 14, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford released the full Kairos world map marking general areas containing more than 200 Marcus bobbleheads ahead of the game’s September 12 launch.
  • The bobbleheads trace back to an in-universe cataclysm on Elpis that shattered a vendor’s crate and scattered the collectibles across remote Kairos locations.
  • Each collectible is designed with environmental storytelling to convey its own unique backstory and setting.
  • Players will need enhanced traversal abilities—double-jumping, grappling, dashing and gliding—to reach the developer-unexpected hiding spots.
  • Pitchford predicts most players will discover only a fraction of the bobbleheads despite having the general locations marked on the map.
