GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker Revolutionizes Indoor BBQ
The $1,000 device uses Active Smoke Filtration technology to allow users to smoke food indoors without triggering fire alarms.
- GE Appliances has launched the GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker, a device that allows users to smoke food indoors without setting off fire alarms.
- The smoker, which was initially known as the Arden and raised over $800,000 on Indiegogo, uses Active Smoke Filtration technology to create wood smoke from pellets and combine it with an electric heating element.
- The GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker can hold up to 40 chicken wings or a 14-pound turkey at once and has five smoke presets and six food-specific settings.
- The smoker also features a Smoke and Hold function that keeps food at safe temperatures for up to 24 hours, and all of its racks and drip trays are dishwasher safe.
- The device can be controlled and monitored via the GE Profile Connect+ app, and the company plans to add features like guided recipes in the future.
