Gaza Rejects 88 Unidentified Bodies Sent by Israel Amid Demands for Information

Palestinian health officials refuse to accept bodies without details on identities and circumstances of death, urging Red Cross to intervene.

A truck carrying 88 unidentified bodies of Palestinians killed in Israel's military offensive arrived in Khan Younis, Gaza, on Wednesday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has paused the process of accepting the bodies due to lack of information on their identities and how they were killed.
Health officials at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza refused to receive or bury the bodies, urging the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to obtain details from Israel.
The ICRC emphasized that families have the right to know the fate of their loved ones and to bury them with dignity, in accordance with international humanitarian law.
The conflict has resulted in over 41,000 Palestinian deaths and 10,000 people reported missing, as Israeli airstrikes continue in Gaza and Lebanon.
