Italian authorities will end naval support around 100 nautical miles from Gaza.

  • Italy’s frigate Alpino will issue a final alert between 100 and 120 nautical miles from Gaza and then stop following, with its mission limited to search-and-rescue and medical support.
  • Israel says it will prevent any breach of its naval blockade, and President Isaac Herzog has stated forces are instructed to avoid lethal force.
  • Activists have declined proposals to offload aid in Cyprus under Church mediation, while some participants, including Italian MPs, say they will stop at the first Israeli order and accept arrest.
