Overview
- The City of Johannesburg will see rolling closures and lane restrictions on 15 November from 09:00 to 13:00 as part of pre-summit traffic operations.
- RTMC, Gauteng Traffic Police, JMPD and SAPS are conducting a coordinated operation to secure high-priority corridors ahead of the G20 Leaders' Summit at Nasrec.
- Key routes include sections of the N1, M1 and N12 as well as urban arteries such as Jan Smuts Avenue, Oxford Road, Rivonia Road, Hendrick Potgieter Road, Rand Show Road, Nasrec Road and the Golden Highway.
- Authorities have advised alternative routes, including Beyers Naudé Drive, Christiaan De Wet Road and Ontdekkers Road for Roodepoort; Main, Cedar and Witkoppen roads for Fourways; side streets parallel to Jan Smuts, Oxford and Rivonia in Sandton/Rosebank/Parktown; and Chris Hani Road, Main Reef Road, Crownwood Road, Soweto Highway, the N17, Aerodrome Road and Adcock Ingram Road for southern Johannesburg.
