GATE 2026 Regular Registration Closes Sunday as IIT Guwahati Prepares Schedule Tweak

Candidates who miss the cutoff can still apply with a late fee until October 9 on the official portal.

  • The no‑late‑fee window ends on September 28 at gate2026.iitg.ac.in, with the late‑fee window open through October 9.
  • Application fees are Rs 1,000 per paper for SC, ST, PwD and female candidates and Rs 2,000 for others, rising to Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,500 respectively in the late window.
  • GATE 2026 is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14 and 15, with results due on March 19, 2026.
  • To avoid a UPSC ESE clash on February 8, organisers will not place CE, EC, EE, GE, GG, IN, ME and PI that day and say the February 8 slot may shift to February 6 or 16, with updates to be posted on the official site.
  • Eligible applicants include graduates and final‑year students across engineering, technology, architecture, sciences, commerce and arts/humanities with no age limit, and applications require portal registration, document uploads and online fee payment using an Enrollment ID login.
