Overview
- Regular applications will be accepted from August 28 to September 28, 2025, with an extended window through October 9 subject to a late fee.
- Fees are set at ₹1,000 per paper in the regular period and ₹1,500 in the extended period for female, SC, ST and PwD candidates, and ₹2,000 and ₹2,500 respectively for all others.
- The brochure confirms updated two-paper combinations and eligibility rules and introduces a new Energy Science (XE-I) paper under Engineering Science.
- Candidates must register at gate2026.iitg.ac.in to create an account, obtain an enrollment ID, complete the form, upload required documents and pay online.
- GATE 2026 will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026 in two sessions each day (9:30 am–12:30 pm and 2:30 pm–5:30 pm), with results due March 19, 2026.
