• IIT Guwahati has kept the GATE 2026 portal open for late registrations until October 13 on gate2026.iitg.ac.in and goaps.iitg.ac.in.
• The late fee is ₹1,500 for Female, SC, ST and PwD candidates and ₹2,500 for all other candidates per test paper, payable online.
• The extended-period fee represents a ₹500 increase over the regular registration amount for each category.
• The previous last date to apply with a late fee was October 9.
• Applicants should upload a photograph, signature, valid photo ID, and any applicable category, PwD or dyslexia certificates with required annexures, and confirm any exam schedule details on the official site.
