GATE 2026 Late-Fee Registration Closes Today on Official Portal

Core papers will skip February 8 to prevent a UPSC ESE clash.

Overview

  • The late-fee window ends today, October 9, and candidates must apply through gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
  • Extended-period fees are Rs 1,500 per test paper for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs 2,500 per test paper for all other applicants, payable online.
  • The test window is February 7–15, 2026, with CE, EC, EE, GE, GG, IN, ME and PI not scheduled on February 8 to avoid overlap with UPSC ESE 2026.
  • Results are slated for March 19, 2026, and GATE scores remain valid for three years from the result date.
  • Eligible applicants include current third-year undergraduates or graduates in approved programs, who must upload a photo, signature, valid ID and any required category or PwD documents.
