• Firefighters reported a ruptured line near Five Mile Road NE and Plainfield Avenue after hearing it around 8:20 a.m.
• DTE crews are checking buildings for elevated gas levels and advised reporting odors to the 800-947-5000 Gas Leak Hotline.
• Earlier evacuations and road closures included Plainfield between Coit and Jupiter and Five Mile from Plainfield to East Beltline.
• Northview High School and North Oakview Elementary sheltered in place as a precaution, and no injuries were reported.
• Some businesses on the west side of Plainfield Avenue NE remain without gas service as firefighters continue to monitor the area.
