Gas Heater Explosion at Czech Restaurant Kills 6 and Injures 8

A propane cylinder ignited after a heater overturned in a Most restaurant, causing a fire that spread rapidly and destroyed the building.

The explosion occurred late Saturday night in the U Kojota restaurant in Most, an industrial city near the German border.
Six people were killed, and eight others sustained injuries, with several in critical condition and treated at hospitals in Prague and nearby cities.
Witnesses reported that a gas heater on an outdoor terrace toppled over, igniting its propane cylinder and triggering the fire.
Flames spread unusually fast, reaching heights of 2–3 meters and damaging a neighboring building; the restaurant was completely destroyed.
Emergency responders evacuated around 30 people from the restaurant and nearby structures, and authorities have launched an investigation into the cause and safety violations.
