Gary Woodland to Undergo Brain Surgery to Remove Lesion

Gary Woodland, PGA Tour golfer and 2019 U.S. Open champion, will have surgery on September 18 to remove a brain lesion.
Woodland was diagnosed with the lesion a few months ago and has been managing symptoms with medication.
After discussions with family and specialists, Woodland decided surgery was the best option.
Woodland expressed gratitude for the love and support he has received.
Woodland finished 94th in FedEx Cup standings and did not qualify for the PGA Tour postseason.
