Overview
- A Parole Board panel refused to release Paul Gadd, known as Gary Glitter, following a paper-based review on June 17, 2025.
- The board found evidence that he maintained a sexual interest in underage girls and failed to show remorse or empathy for his victims.
- Glitter was originally jailed for 16 years in 2015 for abusing three schoolgirls between 1975 and 1980 and was automatically released in February 2023 before breaching licence conditions and being recalled weeks later.
- In April 2025 he was declared bankrupt after failing to pay more than £508,000 in damages awarded to one of his victims.
- He will face another parole review at a date set by the Ministry of Justice and will remain in prison until his sentence expires in February 2031 if no release is recommended.
