- A 26-year-old man appeared at Blanchardstown District Court charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old at Garter Lane near the Citywest complex and was remanded in custody pending a bail application at Cloverhill.
- The child was in Tusla care and had absconded during a supervised trip before later reporting involvement in a serious incident, with the agency prioritising support and cooperation with Gardaí.
- Violence erupted outside the Citywest IPAS centre on Tuesday night as large crowds clashed with public order units, fireworks and bottles were thrown, and public transport on the Luas line near Saggart was suspended.
- Gardaí reported multiple arrests and at least one officer injured, deployed pepper spray, mounted units and a water cannon, and vowed to identify further offenders after a police vehicle was burned.
- Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan and Taoiseach Micheál Martin condemned the disorder, while Gardaí maintained they have not confirmed the suspect’s immigration status and issued a witness appeal for the area between 11pm Sunday and 1:30am Monday.
