Overview
- Sixteen properties in Dublin, Meath, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly were searched over two days, uncovering more than 110kg of suspected cocaine and 1.5kg of suspected heroin.
- Investigators also recovered €63,000 and £38,000 in cash, and a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and held in the Dublin region.
- Roughly 60 Garda members took part, led by the Terenure Drugs Unit with support from serious crime, divisional, armed support and national investigative teams.
- In a separate operation in Cork and Waterford, Gardaí seized suspected cannabis herb valued at approximately €114,200.
- A man in his 50s was arrested in that case, and the seized cannabis is being sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis as investigations continue.
