Overview
- A wide set of segments will be shut on August 27, including equities, equity and currency derivatives, commodity derivatives, SLB, EGR, NDS-RST, tri-party repo, corporate bonds, mutual funds, interest-rate derivatives, and negotiated trade reporting, according to BSE.
- MCX will remain closed for the morning session and reopen from 5:00 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm, while NCDEX will also resume evening trade after a morning halt.
- All markets return to regular schedules on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
- The mid-week pause limits active trading to four sessions in the final week of August: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- Bank branches will be shut on August 27 in cities including Mumbai, Belapur, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Panaji and Vijayawada, with digital banking and payment channels operating as usual.
