Overview

• The two-hour Opening Night Live began on August 19 with about 5,000 attendees in Hall 1 and a global audience on free streams across YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and X.
• Host Geoff Keighley, joined by co-host Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere, introduced dozens of trailers, premieres and gameplay segments.
• Showcase highlights featured Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Resident Evil: Requiem, World of Warcraft: Midnight and The Outer Worlds 2, alongside looks at Bloodlines 2, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and Ron Gilbert’s Death by Scrolling.
• Prime Video spotlighted Fallout season two with an on-stage preview that brought producers and stars Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten to the show, and a live music performance honored Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
• The main expo runs August 20–24 at Koelnmesse with more than 1,500 exhibitors and crowds expected above 300,000.
