Overview
- Gameloft confirmed Wednesday that The Keepsake Sea will add fully navigable underwater biomes, mermaid transformations, underwater building and a salvaging mini‑game, and that the team has shown the first biome ahead of a full showcase on October 21 and a November 2026 launch.
- Players will be able to captain and customize enchanted pirate ships, choose up to two Disney villagers as crew, and use a new salvaging activity to collect ocean materials for crafting furniture and cosmetics.
- Mermaid and sea‑creature options include detailed tail, fin and color customization, plus marine platforms that let players build vertically underwater, and the game will not use air timers so swimming is designed to be relaxed and non‑punishing.
- Several licensed Disney characters are confirmed for the expansion, including Captain Jack Sparrow, Milo from Atlantis and Megara from Hercules, and the new content ties into a Keepsake story arc led by mermaid statues and questlines.
- The Keepsake Sea will launch across PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X|S and Apple Arcade in November 2026, continuing Gameloft's mix of paid expansions and free seasonal updates to keep players engaged and monetized.
