Galicia's Signature Seafood Fairs Open: MarisGalicia Arrives in Valencia as O Grove Launches 62nd Festa do Marisco

Organizers lean on live-product logistics plus municipal intervention to keep menus and prices on track.

Overview

  • MarisGalicia runs in Valencia from October 3 to 26 at the Estación del Grao in a pavilion exceeding 1,500 m² with seating for over 1,000 people.
  • The touring fair expects more than 25,000 visitors and offers about 40 tonnes of seafood and 15,000 bottles of albariño and ribeiro, supplied daily via tank-trucks carrying live product from Galicia.
  • This edition maintains a preorder system by WhatsApp or phone with a rapid pickup counter, operating Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner service and on Sundays at lunchtime.
  • O Grove opened the 62nd Festa do Marisco with official status of Interés Turístico Nacional, after the council assumed the berberecho stall and confirmed a pulpo supplier following failed tenders and vendor complaints over a reported 30% turnover fee.
  • The O Corgo tasting area offers 25 preparations across 12 products in a 4,000 m² marquee for 3,000 diners, adds xiba in its ink with noodles and a new torrija dessert, and posts prices from €6 for mussels and empanadas to €21 for percebes.
