• The Xunta de Galicia will activate sirens at all 41 dams with emergency plans on June 17 and 18 to test acoustic warning systems.
• Sirens at Eiras and Baiona will sound at 11:00 AM on June 17, followed by Portodemouros at 12:30 PM and Brandariz at 1:00 PM, with Touro’s test at 10:00 AM on June 18.
• PHG, Naturgy, the Consellería de Medio Ambiente, the Confederación Hidrográfica del Miño-Sil and Protección Civil will oversee the drill.
• Officials emphasize that the tests will not interrupt daily activities and are designed to ensure alarms function in the event of a dam failure.
