New industry data confirm Spain’s market has returned above one million registrations for 2025.

Overview

  • Galicia recorded 30,177 new registrations in 2025, up 8.7%, surpassing the regional target tied to the Xunta’s vehicle-renovation push.
  • Chinese marques registered 3,494 vehicles in Galicia, a 97% jump that lifted their share to 11.6%, led by MG (1,564), BYD (937) and Omoda (471).
  • Counting Ebro, which has a 40% stake held by Chery, China‑linked registrations in Galicia would total 3,822, a 115.5% increase.

  • Regional disparities persisted: Pontevedra posted the strongest gains for Chinese brands as Ourense lagged, and in Córdoba MG’s ZS and EHS entered the province’s top ten.
