Overview

  • On June 2, 2025, the LNG carrier GAIL Bhuwan was berthed and discharged at Dabhol following breakwater commissioning.
  • Completion of the island breakwater designated the terminal an all-weather port capable of handling vessels throughout the Southwest monsoon.
  • Situated on Maharashtra’s coast, the terminal links to the Dabhol–Bangalore and Dabhol–Panvel pipelines, reinforcing India’s gas supply network.
  • GAIL plans to increase regasification capacity from 5.0 MMTPA to 6.3 MMTPA over the next three years, aiming to handle up to 100 LNG cargoes annually.
  • The island breakwater structure demonstrates advanced marine engineering and is projected to enhance vessel accessibility and capacity utilization at the terminal.
