Overview

• GAIL and Oil India executed the extended agreement on July 10 in New Delhi, formalizing their collaboration under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
• The 15-year pact, effective July 1, secures long-term supply of up to 900,000 Standard Cubic Meters per Day of natural gas from the Bakhri Tibba block in Rajasthan.
• The sourced gas will fuel a state-owned power plant operated by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited.
