Overview

• Hurricane Gabrielle is a Category 3 with 115 mph winds moving east-northeast at about 25 mph and is forecast to pass through the Azores Thursday night into Friday under a hurricane warning.
• The National Hurricane Center warns swells from Gabrielle will generate life-threatening surf and rip currents from Bermuda to the U.S. East Coast north of North Carolina and into Atlantic Canada.

• Invest 94L is spreading heavy rain and gusty winds across the northeastern Caribbean, carries a 30% two-day and 80% seven-day development chance, and could become a depression near the Bahamas later this week; Hurricane Hunters are slated to investigate.
• Interests in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, the Turks and Caicos, and the Bahamas should monitor forecasts, and the next storm names are Humberto followed by Imelda; any interaction between the two systems remains uncertain.
