Fundación MOP Announces David Bailey Retrospective for Summer 2025

  • ‘David Bailey’s Changing Fashion’ will run from June 28 to September 14, 2025, at the Centro MOP in A Coruña, following the Irving Penn exhibition's conclusion on May 1.
  • The retrospective will include over 140 photographs from the 1960s and 1970s, with a focus on Bailey’s iconic 1965 ‘box of pin-ups’ featuring figures like Mick Jagger, Jean Shrimpton, and Rudolf Nuréyev.
  • Marta Ortega Pérez, president of Fundación MOP, described Bailey as a visionary who revolutionized fashion photography and captured the cultural essence of his era.
  • Prior to the Bailey exhibition, the ‘Future Stories’ collective show will highlight works by four emerging Galician photographers from May 20 to June 17, 2025.
  • The summer programming will also feature the second edition of The MOP Talks, a public series with notable figures in contemporary culture and art.
