Funcom Sets Dune: Awakening Roadmap Through 2026 With Endgame Revamp in Chapter 3

The studio committed to major updates every three to four months with more specifics coming at Gamescom.

Overview

  • September will bring the free Chapter 2 update alongside The Lost Harvest DLC, which were planned before launch and do not alter endgame content.
  • Chapter 3 is slated for January–March 2026 with a revamped endgame, followed by Chapter 4 between April and June 2026.
  • Paid DLC Raiders of the Broken Lands and The Water Wars are targeted for Q1 and Q2 2026, with a larger expansion and PS5/Xbox Series X|S launches planned for the second half of 2026.
  • Funcom outlined near-term improvements in development, including improved player logging, instanced Deep Desert loot, a vehicle salvaging system, and email notifications about base status.
  • The team said it has spent the summer fixing bugs and exploits, banning cheaters, and improving stability, and it apologized for lapses in communication.
