Overview
- Judge Jonathan Carroll imposed a total term of 15 years and two months plus a four-year driving ban to begin on release, calling Euan Corbett a "third-rate, pound-shop wannabe gangster."
- Collision evidence showed Corbett’s Audi A3 left Knott Road on the North York Moors at 100–120 mph, and Shane Finn died in hospital two days later.
- Corbett failed to call an ambulance, falsely claimed another man was driving and told a passer-by not to mention him, which delayed the investigation.
- He skipped bail in 2022 and spent about three years travelling through Europe and Asia, posting a video mocking Interpol and offering £500 for footage of police cars being set on fire.
- He was also convicted of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence after directing attacks from abroad, including a shotgun fired through a living-room window on Liverton Avenue.
