Fuel Prices in Germany Drop to Lowest Levels of the Year

A decline in global oil prices and a stronger euro contribute to significant reductions in gasoline and diesel costs.

The average price of E10 gasoline in Germany has fallen to €1.686 per liter, a decrease of 4.9 cents compared to the previous week.
Diesel prices have dropped by 4.2 cents to an average of €1.624 per liter, marking the lowest levels since late 2024.
This week's price reduction is the steepest since autumn 2023, according to the ADAC's weekly report.
The decline is attributed to falling global oil prices, with Brent crude oil trading below $70 per barrel, and the euro's recent strength against the dollar.
The ADAC advises motorists to refuel in the evening, as prices are typically lower than in the morning.
