Fuel Prices Drop Slightly After Weeks of Increases

Diesel and gasoline prices in Germany see modest declines, though costs remain higher than in December.

After six consecutive weeks of rising fuel costs, diesel prices in Germany have fallen by 2.1 cents per liter, while Super E10 gasoline has dropped by 0.7 cents per liter.
The average price for a liter of diesel is now 1.678 euros, and Super E10 costs 1.739 euros per liter, according to ADAC's latest weekly analysis.
The decline in fuel prices is attributed to a reduction in global crude oil prices, with Brent crude oil now trading around $76 per barrel, down from over $82 recently.
Despite the recent price drop, fuel costs remain significantly higher than in mid-December, with Super E10 up by 8.4 cents per liter and diesel up by 9.2 cents.
Motorists are advised to avoid refueling at highway service stations, where prices can be as much as 60 cents per liter higher than at regular stations.
