FuboTV's Antitrust Lawsuit Against Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery Set for October 2025

The trial will address allegations that the media giants' planned sports-streaming service, Venu, would unfairly dominate the market.

U.S. District Judge Margaret Garnett has scheduled the trial to begin on October 6, 2025, with an expected duration of three to four weeks.
FuboTV filed the lawsuit in February, claiming that Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery's Venu Sports would monopolize sports streaming and harm competition.
A preliminary injunction has already halted the launch of Venu Sports, which was initially planned for August 23, 2024.
The Justice Department is also investigating the Venu deal due to concerns about its potential impact on competition and consumer prices.
Discovery for the trial will delve into the media companies' carriage negotiations, potentially revealing long-private details of the pay-TV business.
