Florida State quarterback Tate Rodemaker has decided to enter the transfer portal, making him unavailable for the upcoming Orange Bowl against Georgia.
Rodemaker's decision comes amid Florida State's active pursuit of transfer quarterbacks Cameron Ward and DJ Uiagalelei, though neither has committed to the team yet.
Freshman Brock Glenn, who previously filled in for Rodemaker during the ACC Championship Game, is expected to start against Georgia in the Orange Bowl.
Several other key players from Florida State, including running back Trey Benson and wide receivers Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson, have opted out of the Orange Bowl to go pro.
Rodemaker's decision to transfer is seen as a strategic move to secure a starting position in 2024, as the winter transfer window for underclassmen closes on January 2.
