- On June 28 the Food Standards Agency issued a Product Recall Information Notice that pairs Orgenism’s Eggshell Membrane Capsules recall with separate alerts for milk-containing baby potatoes at Aldi and peanut-contaminated chili sauce at Sainsbury’s.
- Orgenism has withdrawn all batches of its 500 mg, 60-capsule product sold on Amazon after laboratory tests confirmed Salmonella contamination.
- Customers are urged not to consume the capsules and to email [email protected] to receive a complimentary pre-paid returns envelope and a full refund.
- Retailers, wholesalers, distributors and caterers have been directed to remove affected stock from sale, notify their customers and display point-of-sale recall notices.
- Salmonella infection can cause fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps, highlighting the urgent public health concern driving the coordinated recall effort.
