FromSoftware Sends Duskbloods Test Codes as Major Leaks Surface

Distribution of the closed Switch 2 preload is colliding with datamines and an accidentally uploaded hands-on video that have exposed class lists and gameplay ahead of the scheduled network test.

Overview

  • FromSoftware and Nintendo began sending eShop download codes and allowing preloads for selected participants on Tuesday, August 18, so testers can install the roughly 3.8–4 GB Network Test build before play sessions start.
  • The closed Network Test is set to run in five timed sessions across August 21–24 to stress servers and gather balance feedback, and the distributed build intentionally omits solo and co-op modes that are planned for the full release.
  • Bandai Namco’s test terms forbid posting or streaming screenshots and video, and FromSoftware reportedly disabled the Switch 2 capture button for participants to limit leaks during the trial.
  • Despite those controls, datamined files circulated claiming a roster of about 14 playable classes and a Taiwanese outlet’s hands-on preview was accidentally published and reposted to Bilibili, showing fast-paced PvPvE combat with double jumps, summons, temporary transformations, gunplay, wolves and a velociraptor-form attack.
  • The leaks could complicate the test by revealing balance and design details before developer feedback is collected, though FromSoftware says the full Duskbloods release—which will include solo and co-op content—is still expected in 2026.
