Overview
- FromSoftware began distributing Nintendo Switch 2 download codes and test data to selected participants on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, and codes can be viewed on each applicant’s account page.
- The Network Test will run in intermittent windows from August 21 to August 24 with published playtimes that include August 21 (11:00–15:00 BST), August 22 (03:00–07:00 BST and 19:00–23:00 BST), August 23 (11:00–15:00 BST) and August 24 (03:00–07:00 BST).
- The studio says the sessions are a technical and balancing exercise to gauge server capacity, observe behavior across different home networks, and monitor in-game balance while expecting bugs to appear during play.
- Participation is limited to Nintendo Switch 2 and requires logging in with the Nintendo Account used for the application; some regions require Nintendo Switch Online and restrict downloads to the Nintendo eShop.
- The Duskbloods remains an online-only multiplayer IP with no firm release date beyond a 2026 window and Miyazaki has reiterated FromSoftware will continue to make single-player games; results from this test could shape server scaling and balance work ahead of launch.
