  • FRITZ! positions the 6690 Pro as the first cable gateway with an integrated modem and Wi‑Fi 7 across 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, adding smart‑home control via Zigbee and DECT ULE plus DECT/FXS telephony.
  • Per‑band specs include 2x2 MIMO at 6 GHz, 4x4 at 5 GHz and 2x2 at 2.4 GHz, with peak rates up to 5,760 Mbit/s on 5 and 6 GHz and 688 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz.
  • Multi‑Link Operation can connect compatible Wi‑Fi 7 clients across multiple bands simultaneously to smooth handoffs and reduce brief dropouts.
  • Wired connectivity consists of one 2.5 GbE and three 1 GbE ports plus two USB 3.x, a setup that could cap throughput if cable providers deliver multi‑gigabit DOCSIS 3.1 service.
