• The coyote struck the 8-year-old Monday around 4:05 p.m. in the Lexington Park community near Lacy Lane and Tall Timbers Trail
• Frisco Police report the girl suffered non-life-threatening scratches and a bite before her mother chased the animal away
• Under the city’s Urban Wildlife Management Plan, Frisco Animal Services and USDA Texas Wildlife Services removed three coyotes from the neighborhood Wednesday morning
• All three animals have been sent to a lab for disease testing, authorities say
• City officials recommend carrying noise-making devices on walks, keeping pets leashed, securing trash bins and avoiding feeding wildlife to prevent future incidents
