• Investigators say Vanessa Esquivel, 27, left her 15-month-old in a vehicle for more than two hours outside her workplace in the 3200 block of Preston Road.
• Police report the car’s air conditioning did not work with outside temperatures at least 95 degrees.
• Frisco police were notified on Aug. 16 at Medical City Plano about a child’s death believed to have occurred in Frisco.
• Esquivel was arrested on Aug. 20 in Dallas, transferred to Frisco, and booked into the Collin County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
• The first-degree felony charge carries 5 years to life in prison and up to a $10,000 fine if convicted; investigators have not released the child’s identity or a possible motive and request tips at 972-292-6010.
