Overview

  • The fairs open Sept. 3 at COEX with one ticket granting access to both; Frieze runs through Sept. 6 and Kiaf through Sept. 7.
  • Kiaf pared its exhibitor list to 175 to raise standards and to spotlight Korean modern and contemporary artists for international audiences.
  • Frieze will present 116 galleries with strong Asian representation, alongside curated sections Frieze Masters and Focus Asia.
  • Public programming includes Frieze Live, Music and Film; a Park Seo-bo x LG OLED lounge; a Sept. 4–6 talks series with the Korea Art Management Service; and, organizers said, the opening of Frieze House Seoul as a permanent cultural space.
  • Both parties said the current co-location agreement ends next year and that discussions are underway on a possible extension.
