Overview

  • DFA Dairy Brands issued the recall on August 5 after discovering Cookies & Cream tubs were packed in Vanilla Bean cartons with the wrong label
  • The Vanilla Bean packaging omits soy and wheat from the ingredients list, creating a serious or life-threatening risk for allergic consumers
  • Affected 48-fluid-ounce cartons bear a Nov. 26, 2025 best-by date and were sold in stores across Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania
  • The FDA publicly announced the recall on August 6 and no illnesses linked to the mislabelled ice cream have been reported
  • Customers can return any recalled carton to the place of purchase in exchange for a full refund
