Overview

- The restriction applies from 5:00 to 22:00 across all 16 Mexico City boroughs and designated State of Mexico municipalities, including Valle de Toluca and Santiago Tianguistenco.
- Exempt vehicles include those with holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid cars, public transport, taxis, motorcycles, authorized health units, and heavy cargo.
- Violations are punishable by fines of 20 to 30 UMAs (about MXN 2,074.80 to 3,112.20) and may result in towing or impoundment.
- Vehicles from neighboring states with valid local verification follow the same criteria under homologated rules, and authorities report no new modifications to the program.
