Overview

  • The removal of C8 and NRJ12 in February and Canal+’s subsequent withdrawal of its four pay channels freed slots for the overhaul that took effect on June 6, 2025.
  • France4 now occupies channel 4 to feature youth-focused shows and live cultural events, LCP and Public Sénat share channel 8 for parliamentary coverage, and Gulli has moved to channel 12.
  • Four rolling-news outlets—BFMTV, CNews, LCI and Franceinfo—are now sequenced on channels 13 through 16 to enhance viewer navigation.
  • The newly approved T18 began broadcasting on channel 18 on June 6 with educational and pluralistic content while Novo19 is slated to launch on September 1 on channel 19.
  • Arcom intends the restructuring to boost coherence, visibility and pluralism across both public and private national channels.
