The action was a response to Musk's controversial gesture during Donald Trump's January 20 inauguration, which some interpreted as a Nazi salute.
AJC criticized the French government for inviting Musk to the Global AI Summit in Paris, though Musk only attended virtually.
Tesla France confirmed the vandalism had been cleaned up and stated they are cooperating with authorities to investigate the incident.
