French Star Amandine Henry Signs With Angel City FC

Angel City FC signed French midfielder Amandine Henry on a three-year deal with an option for a fourth year.
Henry previously played for French club Lyon for 14 years and had a two-year stint with the Portland Thorns from 2016 to 2017.
Angel City's midfield has struggled for consistency, and Henry's tactical add is expected to provide roster relief and help the team gain crucial points.
Henry should be available to Angel City as soon as the U.S. transfer window opens on June 28, but it is unclear how much she will play this season.
Henry is also uncertain to make the World Cup roster for France, although the March firing of France coach Corinne Diacre may be a positive development for her.
