Overview

• Philippe Schneider, 69, admitted to killing his neighbor Georges Meichler in February 2023 during a failed robbery in Brasc, southern France.
• Schneider confessed to dismembering Meichler's body with a butcher’s knife and scattering remains across the Causses and Rougier regions and in the victim's van.
• He also admitted to cooking parts of the body in what he claimed was a ritual inspired by practices he encountered during travels in Nepal.
