Alain C, who was operating on an invalid license, has been banned from flying for a year and the skydiving school employing him has been fined.
- French pilot Alain C has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and given a suspended sentence after decapitating wingsuit skydiver Nicolas Galy with his plane's wing in 2018.
- The pilot has also been banned from flying for a year, and the Midi-Pyrénées Skydiving School Association, which employed him, has been fined 20,000 euros, half of which has been suspended.
- The incident occurred when Alain C rapidly descended the plane after the skydivers jumped, catching up with them and striking Galy with the plane's wing.
- During the trial, it was revealed that Alain C did not brief the skydivers about the jump and lost track of them, assuming he was clear of them.
- It was also disclosed that Alain C was operating the plane on an invalid license due to a violation of restrictions from a medical condition.
