French MP Aly Diouara Alleges Police Threatened Him During Bobigny Stop

The LFI deputy claims he was threatened with a taser after intervening in what he described as a discriminatory police stop of two young men.

Police officials defended the officers, stating they acted within the law and drew the taser as a precaution when Diouara reached into his pocket to retrieve his deputy card.
Betty Saint-Ubert, a deputy mayor of La Courneuve present at the scene, was detained for alleged 'outrage' against the officers but has denied the accusations.
