French Directors Jacquot and Doillon Detained Over Sexual Abuse Allegations

Judith Godrèche's accusations have placed the filmmakers at the center of France's renewed #MeToo movement.

Godrèche claims Jacquot raped her when she was 14 and accuses Doillon of sexual assault during a film shoot.
Several other actresses have also come forward with accusations against both directors.
The detainment follows Godrèche's formal complaints and her prominent role in France's #MeToo movement.
French authorities are questioning the directors, who could be held in custody for up to 48 hours.
