French Couple Charged with Sexual Assault and Exploitation of Infant Daughter

The parents, who admitted to the crimes, are accused of filming the assaults and face up to ten years in prison.

A couple in their thirties from northern Cher, France, has been charged with sexually assaulting their infant daughter and producing child exploitation material.
The assaults, which were reportedly filmed, were discovered following a report by maternal and child protection services.
The father has a prior criminal record, including a conviction for child rape in 2009 and domestic violence, while the mother had no prior offenses.
Both parents confessed to the crimes during police interrogations and were placed in pretrial detention on Tuesday by order of a judge.
The maximum sentence for the charges they face is ten years in prison, as confirmed by the Bourges prosecutor's office.
