French Bakers Reclaim World Record with Monumental Baguette

In a display of culinary prowess, French bakers have crafted a 140.53-meter baguette, surpassing the previous record held by Italy and reinforcing national pride.

French bakers in Suresnes crafted a 140.53-meter baguette, setting a new Guinness World Record.
The record-breaking event took place during the Suresnes Baguette Show, involving meticulous preparation and a specially designed oven.
The previous record of 132.62 meters, set by Italian bakers in 2019, was surpassed by nearly 8 meters.
After verification by Guinness World Records, the colossal baguette was shared with the public and portions were distributed to the homeless.
This achievement highlights the baguette's cultural significance in France, following its recognition on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
